Hotel was very close to the Istiklal Caddesi and to the funicular that takes you to the tram, which crosses the Galata bridge and goes to Sultanahmet. Breakfast terrace has wonderful view over Golden Horn. Breakfast was good.
Hotel seemed to be not very well maintained -- desk chair fell into pieces everytime you moved it, lampshade was missing, carpet was stained or dirty; however, the bathroom was very clean. Also there was a club right across the street which was pretty noisy at night -- might not be such a problem in summer with a/c running). Although hotel advertised wifi throughout hotel, we found it wasn't working much of the time and always would be fixed "in the morning."

The staff were very friendly and helpful. When I was 45 mins late for breakfast due to me forgetting about clocks going forward, they still whipped me up some food and hot coffee. Very nice views from the breakfast room on the top of the hotel.
It was a little noisy - there was a bar directly below my window, but it closed at midnight. Traffic noise wasn't so bad but you could hear a lot of sirens which were pretty noisy. Still... anywhere in this region of town would be as noisy.

Slippers, which they provide for free and location, which is close to Taksim and Galata.
The building of the hotel is more than hundred years old, but the capital repair inside of the building was poor and absolutely not enough to stay there and feel comfortable. The smell of canalization in the rooms and so small bathroom, that if you use the toilet, your head is in the sink and you may wash you head at the same time.

the location was amazing, right in front of the Sishane Metro station. the hotel itself is situated in a beautiful historical building, adding to the charm of our stay. the rooms were incredibly clean and well-designed, with a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. the rooftop veranda offered breathtaking views of the city. We were especially impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, particularly Serhat at the reception. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and provided us with great tips and directions for exploring the city. This is now our favorite spot in Istanbul!
No issues 😊.

I really enjoyed the elegant and charming ambiance of the hotel. The beautiful decoration with its beige and white contemporary tones or contrasting black and white decor added a touch of sophistication to the place. The general areas, such as the terrace, offered stunning views of the city, which were especially lovely during breakfast. , the hotel's accessibility for senior people was excellent, with easy access to the main attractions and close proximity to public transportation.
The only thing I would have asked for to enhance the vacation for senior people is for the children working there to provide better assistance to the guests. It would have been nice if they were more attentive to our needs and ensured a comfortable stay.

I was impressed by the beautiful style and decor of Galata Antique Hotel. The historic building added to its charm, and the high ceilings in the rooms made them feel more spacious. The rooftop terrace, where breakfast is served, provided a delightful start to my day in Istanbul. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the Tünnel and Sishane metro station, making it convenient for exploring the city.
I had a great stay at Galata Antique Hotel. Despite a few minor issues, such as some maintenance needs and small room sizes, the positives far outweighed the negatives.
